Agrim "OMI" Mishra (born in Darbhanga, 2002) is a photographer driven by a passion for capturing the simplicity and uniqueness of strong colours, forms and rudimentary subjects, he observes and photograph things and aim to weave these individual moments into cohesive streams of intense yet thoughtful collections whose main aim is to sensitise our cores perceptions. Rooted in a distinct natural aestheticism—one where mind, perception, and the world flow into one—his work maintains a deep reverence for the preservation of nature and human sensitivity.
Agrim’s the younger sibling of established Indian filmmaker Achal Mishra and nephew of photographer Navin Vatsa. Coming from a humanistic, primal yet earthly family background, his upbringing and feelings have shaped him to empathize deeply in artistic pursuits, yet maintain a moralistic stance towards understanding causes, leading him to perceive the world not as a series of cause and effect but as a continuous state of becoming. He is quick to adapt yet approach his achievements with stoicism, mindful that life's journey continues endlessly...
He has recently exhibited at exhibition spaces such as The Avenue, The Gallery and B.A.D space, Bournemouth. His work will be additionally exhibited at Copeland gallery in London in July. Currently studying his final year in photography bachelor’s program at AUB, Bournemouth while occasionally moving back to Delhi and his hometown Darbhanga.
